MERLIN…..

Is a 14yrs old Connemara X.  The first photo is the day he arrived at the yard, just of my trailer, the 2nd photo is just under 14 weeks later. 

He hadn't been ridden for 2 years and was kept in a little muddy paddock divided into four as the other three sections were FULL of ragwort.  He had lost a lot of coat on this hocks, knees, point of shoulder etc. where he was stabled on concrete with NO bedding.  This also made his coat stiff with urine and he stank...!  Lovely.

He had never been out of the place where he had lived for the past 18 months, it took approx 30 mins to persuade him onto the trailer, and another 30 minutes to persuade him out of the gate once I started riding him.  He is now ridden out on the trails every day with me on his own for a couple of hourse and he loves it.

So there we go, dear little pony.
